We first crossed paths in downtown Savannah in May 2021. Our very first date was simple and perfect, burgers, a walk through the historic streets, and ice cream by the river. At the time, Maggie was in college at Georgia Southern University and Payton was stationed at Hunter Army Airfield.

Over the next four years, life brought plenty of change, new jobs, moves, and multiple deployments, but our relationship grew stronger through it all. On April 5, 2025, Payton asked Maggie to marry him in Telfair Square, right in the heart of the city where it all began.

We’re so thankful for how God has guided our story and are excited to step into this new season of life together. Surrounded by our closest family and friends, we can’t wait to celebrate the start of our marriage.
